We’re a UK–Nigerian couple who began sharing our journey when Laura flew out to Ivory Coast to meet Dammy, and that’s when everything changed. From that moment, our story resonated with people worldwide.
What started as a love story and fun challenges quickly grew into a community of over 200,000 followers across our platforms. Our breakthrough came with our accent challenges and pidgin English videos, which connected strongly with audiences in the UK, Nigeria, and beyond, quickly growing our community of over 200,000 followers across our platforms, where we have continued to make people laugh, share our journey, help others on their own journey, and inspire other couples globally.

Our journey
Our story began in the 2020 lockdown, when we connected on TikTok. Despite living in different countries, our bond grew quickly and by May 2021, Laura flew from the UK to meet Dammy in Ivory Coast. That’s when he proposed, and our international love story truly began.
Since then, we’ve navigated the highs and lows of life together which so many of you have seen, from waiting for visas, meeting requirements, facing grief, learning new things as a couple, and blending our family of six. Through it all, we’ve shared the journey with a supportive community of over 200,000 people across the UK, Nigeria, and beyond, and we are truly grateful.

We are a couple who’ve seen a lot of life’s mess and magic up close!
Between us we’ve faced homelessness, domestic abuse, children with SEN, depression, grief, huge life changes, and moments where we didn’t know which way to turn.
We also know what it’s like to fall in love again, rebuild ourselves, and keep choosing hope, even when life feels heavy.
Whatever you’re going through, you can write to us. You don’t have to share your name or email, you can stay completely anonymous. We’ll read every message and respond if anonymous on social media with empathy, honesty and a little humour where it helps.
