Meet Chizzy & Sara

We met on a TikTok matchmaking live

At the time, I wasn’t in a great place in my life. I was just on TikTok for fun, trying to laugh and distract myself. I came across this matchmaking live and thought it was hilarious, so I stayed in the comments just enjoying the show. Meanwhile, Chizzy was actually there looking for love!

Some other guy on the live kept calling me to come “on the box,” but I stayed in the comments saying I wasn’t interested. The host’s wife jokingly said, “Who is this Sara? Come and get your husband before it’s too late! Oooooo” I kept saying I wasn’t interested, but Chizzy was in the comments tagging me like, “Sara is here!”

Later, Chizzy added me on TikTok. I added him back. He sent me a “hi” in the DMs… and I didn’t reply.

The next day, he went live. I hardly ever watch lives, but when I saw his, something just drew me to it. I clicked in thinking, “Who is this guy and what is he talking about?”

Then he said, “Oh, you don’t want to reply to me in private, but you’re here, so let’s talk in public!”

We started talking on his live, and he asked for my number. I said ok okay I will send it in DM but I didn’t, Later that day, he messaged me again asking for it. I told him I was busy and that he should send me his number — I would add him on WhatsApp in due time.

Honestly, I was scared. I wasn’t ready. How was I going to give my number to a stranger in Nigeria? But he was so kind, and something kept pulling me toward him. I had a business line I wasn’t using, so I added him on that instead, and we started talking properly.

I told him clearly that I wasn’t interested in a relationship — we could only be friends. He was disappointed, but we kept talking anyway.

As we continued talking on WhatsApp, our friendship slowly turned into something more. We started growing feelings for each other. He won my heart

After months of long-distance, we finally met in Ghana for the first time and spent two amazing weeks together. It felt so real when we saw each other — pure magic.

Of course, it was scary. So many questions ran through my mind: What if we don’t connect in real life? What if it doesn’t work? But instead, we loved each other even more. Everything felt magical.

When I returned to the UK, it was very painful. There was so much tension from the distance again. Then, just a few days after I got back, I found out I was pregnant.

We were over the moon

Three months later, he was able to join us — and finally, we closed the distance.
